Real Mom Review: Signal Bay Waterpark
By Nancy McGovern, CertifiKID SubscriberPosted Aug 01, 2018
Nestled within Signal Hill Park, Signal Bay Water Park is a 27,000 square foot oasis of family fun featuring a zero depth entry leisure pool, perfectly kid-sized water slides, water cannons and a lazy river.
We sent one of our MOM Squad ambassadors and her family to experience Signal Bay Water Park. They received free admission in exchange for providing an honest review of their experience.

We had the pleasure of visiting Signal Bay Waterpark in Manassas, VA and had such a blast! We went on a Wednesday and arrived around 12:30 p.m. It was a little crowded, but not overwhelming. At the entrance to the park they check the kids' height for the lazy river and ropes course. Under 43" gets a wristband. To get to the pool area you need to walk up and around a ramp that goes over the lazy river. This is the only way in and out of the pool area.
The pool itself has three stand alone slides and then a larger structure with three slides and sprinklers off of it. There are some cannons on the side of the pool that shoot water that the kids can aim at their unsuspecting parents! There are a few animals for the little ones to climb on as well.
The park is definitely geared more toward younger kids. Most kids there were elementary school aged or younger. My kids are 3, 4, and 12. We spent about three hours there and everyone had a great time.
All the kids loved the lazy river. Kids under the height requirements can still ride with a parent. It goes around the whole park and doesn't move too fast. There is also a waterfall that you pass under and then the river goes through a tunnel, which was very exciting for all the kids. Parents can also help their kids across the ropes course if they are under the height requirement. However, none of my kids were brave enough to try it.
The park does have a concession stand and even advertises that a couple pizza places will deliver to you there! We opted to pack a cooler with lunch and snacks. I called ahead to be sure that was okay; only glass containers are not allowed. There are lots of picnic tables under shaded areas located outside the pool area.
There are many shaded areas in the park with lounge chairs. When we first got there, most of the space under the shaded areas were taken, but we were able to find some space as the afternoon went on. The facilities were clean and there are showers, too.
Overall, the park was fantastic!
