Full-Time Controller

We are seeking a tech-savvy Controller to join our team to manage all aspects of our financial transactions, procedures, forecasting and reporting requirements. An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting and a CPA license are required. A dual degree in both IT and Accounting is a plus. This is a remote position and candidates can live anywhere in the United States. Demonstrated ability to work independently, productively manage time, and effectively communicate in a telecommute role is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions for an e-commerce and digital advertising company, including processing both customer and vendor payments and deposits, auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and providing accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows for the business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all applicable regulations and requirements.

Qualifications: Advanced Excel skills are a must. Experience at a public accounting firm is a plus. Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance.

  • Well versed in technology, particularly working with data and modern business intelligence/reporting systems, such as Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau or similar.

Full-Time Web Developer 

We are seeking a dynamic developer with diverse experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will be adept at shifting focus between both Macaroni Kid and CertifiKID, each built from its own custom-made content management system (CMS) and on the ColdFusion programming language. The incumbent’s primary focus will be on the Macaroni Kid side of the business, while providing support and back-up for CertifiKID. While the position primarily works “behind the scenes,” our ideal candidate will have great communication and relationship skills and be able to translate complex tech concepts into layman’s terms for our 400+ publishers.

This is a full-time, telecommute position with a benefits package, including health insurance, 401K and paid time off, reporting to our Chief Technology Officer and working in close coordination with our Chief Operating Officer. As both companies continue to expand and further merge operations, we envision significant growth opportunities for this position. The ideal candidate has experience with or an affinity for the family digital advertising and marketing space. 

Macaroni Kid Qualifications & Skills 

We expect Macaroni Kid responsibilities to comprise about 75% of daily tasks. The incumbent will be an Angular 1/Angular 2 developer who performs both back-end and API layer website development on Macaroni Kid, which is an online content publishing network built from a custom-made CMS.

Tasks include: 

  • Parse through and fully document our API using an API documentation service like Apiary, Readme.io or Swagger
  • Developing, testing and deploying new administrative features (back-end and API layer)
  • Developing, testing and deploying new website features (front-end)
  • Identifying and creating more efficient development workflows
  • Research and resolve issues that arise during operations

Full-Time Campaign Management and Publisher Development Team Assistant

As a Campaign Management Assistant, you will work with our Account Executives to successfully execute ad campaigns for national clients. As a Publisher Development Team Assistant, you will support our Publisher recruiting and onboarding process by interviewing candidates via Zoom to effectively communicate the requirements of the role, answer questions, and evaluate whether the candidate is the right fit to join our team, with an emphasis on cultivating a diverse and inclusive Publisher community. Candidate will also assist with a variety of administrative and organizational tasks related to the Publisher onboarding process, including tracking and following up with candidates, setting new Publishers up with required system accesses, and assisting with the development of training materials.
